Our Approach
Freedom to Pray is a grassroots effort to bring attention to T-Mobile’s egregious actions of charging an additional $0.01 per minute to customers who call prayer lines using free conference call services. Prayer calls are happening 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This movement provides a means of response for faithful prayer warriors and individuals and groups who support them to advocate against T-Mobile and on behalf of keeping prayer lines free for everyone, including people of all faiths.

- The right to pray for free is under attack by T-Mobile. Despite its aggressive advertising campaign as the #Uncarrier, T-Mobile is blatantly, but surreptitiously charging an additional $0.01 per minute to customers who call prayer lines using free conference call services. Join me in standing with others to #KeepPrayerFree: https://freedomtopray.org/.
- Hundreds of thousands of T-Mobile customers call into prayer lines multiple times a week to pray with others for long periods of time. Now, T-Mobile is charging them. I just signed the petition showing my support to #KeepPrayerFree and you should, too: https://freedomtopray.org/.
- Prayer should never come with a cost. Ask T-Mobile to #KeepPrayerFree and remove its $0.01/minute charge for using free conference lines by signing this petition now: https://freedomtopray.org/.
- Although T-Mobile is the only phone carrier assessing this “out-of-plan” charge to its customers, other carriers will likely follow if we don’t make our voices heard. Sign the petition now! https://freedomtopray.org/. #KeepPrayerFree
Change Carrier
T-Mobile users can stand in solidarity to #KeepPrayerFree by changing to a new cell phone carrier away from T-Mobile and its related companies (Metro PCS, Simple Mobile, Ting, Ultra Mobile, Project Fi). Here are four easy steps to switch carriers while keeping your current phone number:
Step 1: Choose a new carrier, plan and cell phone and contact the provider (do this before you cancel your current provider or you won’t be able to port your number).
Step 2: Provide your new provider with necessary information about your current service, including your customer account number as it appears on your recent bill and account password, if requested.
Step 3: Allow your new provider to contact your current cell phone company to begin the porting process. You do not need to take any further action.
Step 4: Once your new service is activated, call your previous carrier to confirm your existing service was canceled.
